Solving Missing-Factor Decimal Problems

Some problems give the answer and one factor, then ask students to find the missing factor. To solve these, divide the answer by the known factor.

Worked Example: 4 × ? = 7.6

• Divide the answer by the known factor: 7.6 ÷ 4 = 1.9

4 × 1.9 = 7.6
