Eugene Kashuk
Eugene Kashuk is the founder and CEO of Brighterly, driven by the idea that education should be personalized and foundation-first.
He brings over 10 years of experience building and scaling startups, having created multiple companies from scratch — from idea validation and MVP development to acquiring first customers, scaling, and successful exits.
Education and Experience
From an early age, Eugene possessed a strong interest in languages and entrepreneurship. He began learning English at the age of four, later graduating from school with honors. Strongly influenced by his entrepreneurial father, he soon learned to spot opportunities, launch new ideas, and build businesses.
In 2010, Eugene enrolled at Kyiv National Economic University to study finance — a strategic choice that aligned with his interest in business and strength in math and analytical thinking. However, during the first year, he realized he wanted to move beyond academics and tackle real-world challenges.
Determined to gain hands-on experience, he began working in his second year at university, securing his first role after the very first interview and entering the industry where he would later build his first business at the age of 22.
Over the following years, Eugene deepened his focus on innovation, EdTech, startups, and AI. This experience later became the foundation for creating and scaling Brighterly.
Path and Beliefs Powering Brighterly
For Eugene, Brighterly was created as a transformative platform designed to ensure every student receives the personalized support needed to reach their full potential — something often missing in traditional classrooms.
“I’ve never seen learning as something you do just to graduate or pass a test.”
To me, learning has always been about opening doors.
This belief shaped the way Brighterly was built, defining two core focus areas:
- First, fostering a genuine love for learning.
- Second, helping kids develop the skills that matter most — building strong knowledge foundations that guide them not just through school, but through future challenges, new opportunities, and every win later in life.
To bring this vision to life, Eugene focused on building a team that shares the same mindset and drive to rethink how education works.
“The Brighterly team is a unique mix of talent, expertise, and real change-agent energy.”
We come from different countries and backgrounds, but what unites us is a genuine desire to build something meaningful and create positive change in the world — and I’m very proud of that.
For Eugene, Brighterly is not just a product, but a long-term mission. By combining 1:1, human-first teaching with a foundations-first approach, he is building a platform that supports lifelong growth and helps children develop the skills and mindset needed to navigate school and succeed later in life.
